The
main hallway terminates in the Vestibule, which is decorated
with two forty- feet long marine scenes viewed over
simulated stone or masonry balustrades. These views
which celebrate the birthplaces of Mr. And Mrs. Greenlaw,
depict Edinburgh from the Firth of Forth and Sydney
Harbour’s north shore featuring Cremorne, Kurraba
and Kirribilli Points.
This room was originally furnished with
a variety of upholstered seating including settees,
couches and easy chairs as well as a 10-foot telescope
dining table and a dinner wagon. There was also a large
mahogany loo table and an old Spanish mahogany writing
davenport as well as a range of other occasional furniture.

A 40 foot long panoramic view of Sydney Harbour decorates
one wall of the vestibule.
