The principal bedroom is located on the south-east corner, first floor.

This room is decorated with a pearly haze of “cupids, cherubim, and angel forms with intertwined garlands of poppies, wild flowers and lacework, and flowery festoons gathered beneath starry skies”

This room originally contained with a handsome enamelled iron half-tester bed and a black walnut bedroom suite comprised of a wardrobe, duchesse table, washstand, chest, pedestal cupboard, commode and four chairs. This was supplemented with a range of occasional furniture including easy chairs and tables.
