A nostalgic Scottish theme was chosen for this room with a frieze of scenes illustrating two of Sir Walter Scott’s Waverley novels. The geometrically decorated dado was said to be “Mediaeval” in style. The fireplace is lined with Minton tiles, one after Sir Joshua Reynolds’ Innocence.
