| The dado is decorated with
naturalistic flower panels which hark back to Pompeii
and have been attributed to Ulysses Rizzi, who helped
decorate the German Court at the Melbourne 1880 Exhibition.
This area like so much of the house was originally
furnished with a variety of furniture appropriate for
casual seating and conversation.
